Around Hunter Street, Sydney CBD yesterday

Near the Radisson Hotel.

The building has a history. I remember it as The Bank of NSW in the 1950s.

  1. I’m enjoying your series of photos in Hunter Street. When I worked in the real estate industry at Raine & Horne Head Office cnr. Pitt and Hunter this was my old stomping ground. The middle photo is looking down O’Connel Street, the building on the right is or was the CIGNA Building, directly behind the photographer is 68 Pitt Street (ANZ), to the left of the photographer and across Pitt Street is currency house (NAB). These are all buildings I managed.
Brings back great memories of wonderful times.

  2. Nice to see you commenting, Doug! I never managed any of these, but I did work as a humble clerk at the MLC (old building) in Martin Place at the age of 19.
