Buckland Street Chippendale

In 1986 I was living in this converted warehouse complex – probably the most luxury I have ever (briefly) had. I was enabled to do so because I shared it with a number of people, including for a time my friend Philip Costello, and it was also a pied-a-terre in Sydney for the Red Dragon (Nina) from Wollongong, whose cooking is memorable.

It has been added to and altered since, and that neighbouring building wasn’t there then.
